In Kebbi,NLC Organises Peaceful Hunger Protest

Kebbi is not known for protest of any form, but today, the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headed by one Comrade Salim Abubakar Gwadangwaji led protesters on a peaceful protest from the popular Haliru Abdul Stadium to Gwandagwanji Secretariat and later to Government House.
At the government house, comrade Salim Gwandagwaji, told the Governor, Comrade Nasiru Idris that the suffering of the masses is so pronounced under this administration of President Tinubu, as the essence of the protests was not to vandalise properties but to convey peoples suffering in abject poverty to the government.
The governor however thanked them for handling the protest in a very mature manners promising that all their complains will be conveyed to the President, assuring that President Tinubu himself is aware of what Nigerians are passing through with the aim of bringing succors to the hardships.
Meanwhile, the peaceful protest did not last more than one hour and everybody went back to their normal businesses, as banks and other shops were opened.
