Distinguished guests, family members, political
associates, friends and constituents. It is a profound honour to stand before you today to celebrate an exceptional man, Honourable Yemi  Alli, on his 60th birthday. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Yemi Alli, his amiable wife, Alhaja Khadijat Oluyemisi Alli, his children, extended family and associates for inviting me to
share in this significant milestone.

Today, we are not only marking his six decades of life but also reflect on his remarkable legacy of leadership, service, growth politics and inspiration that has positively impacted so many.

Turning 60 is more than just a number; it is a moment of reflection, accomplishment, and celebration of the wisdom and experiences
amassed over the years. It signifies the culmination of personal and professional achievements, from nurturing families and building careers to making meaningful contributions to society.

This age invites one to pause and express gratitude for good health, family, friends, leaders and the lessons learned through life’s challenges. It offers an opportunity to strengthen relationships and appreciate the support systems that become even more significant at this stage.
Reaching 60, as Hon. Yemi Alli has, serves as an inspiration to younger generations, reminding us that life is a continuous journey of growth and
fulfilment.

Hon. Taofeek Adeyemi Alli is a dynamic political
leader with a deep-rooted commitment to progressive governance. Born into a politically influential family in Mushin, his father, Alhaji Abudulfatai Alli, was a two-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, serving from 1979
to 1983. Yemi Alli’s early exposure to politics through his father’s involvement shaped his passion for public service and leadership.

Before fully entering the political arena, Hon. Alli
gained experience in the corporate sector, beginning his career as a supervisory officer at the now-defunct National Bank of Nigeria in Lagos. This professional background equipped him with organizational and managerial skills, which he later applied to his political career.

In 1999, following the end of General Sanni Abacha’s infamous military rule and the ushering in of democratic governance under General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Alli was elected as a councillor in Mushin’s Ward B2. He quickly rose to prominence, becoming the leader of the Mushin Local Government Legislative Arm.

Recognized for his integrity and leadership, Hon. Alli was supported by then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to serve as the pioneer chairman of the newly created Odi Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in 2003. Despite the financial challenges under the zero-allocation regime of the federal government led by Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo
(rtd), Hon Alli laid the foundation for significant infrastructural and socio-economic development in the LCDA.

His legacy as a visionary leader is undeniable. In
politics, Hon. Alli is known for his people-centred approach to governance. As a politician, community leader, philanthropist, and inspirer, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the people he serves and the ideals he upholds. His life reflects not only a personal achievement but also a legacy of selflessness and integrity aimed at improving the lives of those around him.
Through his legislative efforts, he has championed initiatives promoting education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, all rooted in the values of fairness, equity, development and justice.

During his tenure as chairman, Alli focused on
infrastructure, overseeing the construction and rehabilitation of over 20 roads and sinking more than 200 boreholes. His administration built modern classrooms, tackled security challenges, and initiated several people-oriented programs, such as the Owo Arugbo scheme, which provided stipends to over 500 elderly citizens between 2009 and 2014.

It is instructive, that the pioneering work of Hon.
Yemi Alli known as “Owo Arugbo” was upgraded by international organisations, including the World Bank and redesignated as “Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme”.

His dedication to healthcare was evident in the
rehabilitation of primary health centres, which were transformed into 24-hour service facilities.

As we gather, celebrate and reflect on Hon. Alli’s
extraordinary journey, it is clear that his legacy of service, compassion and commitment continues to shape lives. His achievements in the National Assembly, including sponsoring key bills and addressing critical community needs, have
further strengthened his bond with the people he represents. His work transcends political boundaries, bringing people together and fostering unity, peace, and cooperation among his constituents. He has made profound impact on
our community, state and the nation. He is also widely acknowledged as a peace maker, helping to resolve conflicts in other political constituents.

Hon. Yemi Alli’s philanthropic spirit, generosity, and ability to inspire countless individuals to pursue their dreams are among his most remarkable qualities. His resilience and focus have solidified his reputation as a leader dedicated to grassroots development and national progress. He exemplifies that true leadership involves using one’s influence to
uplift others and create meaningful change.

Hon. Alli is deeply attuned to the contemporary
realities and challenges facing our nation, consistently demonstrating a proactive approach to addressing pressing issues. His role extends beyond being a mere observer; he has positioned himself as a dynamic solution-finder in all
his endeavours, tackling problems with a blend of insight, experience, and determination. He has empathy and he displays a transformative power of public service. Hon. Alli’s influence was pivotal in the emergence of the current administration
under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, where his strategic contributions and unwavering support played a crucial role.

He was among the first believers to organise the first political platform at the national level in support of the aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by joining forces with others, including Hon. Abiodun Faleke in establishing Tinubu Support Group (TSG).

Today, he remains a steadfast advocate for the
President’s policies and initiatives within the parliament, ensuring that the government’s vision is effectively translated into actionable and sustainable outcomes for the benefit of the nation. His commitment to defending the
administration’s causes reflects his broader dedication to national progress, making him a key figure in shaping the legislative landscape.

Distinguished guests, Honourable members, leaders, ladies and gentlemen, in an era marked by division, uncertainty and cynicism, Hon. Yemi Alli’s example remind us of the enduring power of leadership, compassion, dedication, commitment, loyalty and service. He has shown us all, that politics is, and can be a force for good and that one person can make a difference. His legacy inspires future generation to embrace the value of
integrity empathy and public service. And his continued diligence service to our country is a reminder that we can build a better future for all.

In conclusion, let me once again extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has come to honour Hon. Adeyemi Taofeek Alli today. Your presence reflect the deep respect and admiration we all share for this exceptional man. To Hon. Yemi Alli, we are here to celebrate you and your
