In Kebbi,2,000 Orphans Receive N2.1 Billion Assistance From MWL

The Muslims World League (MWL), has disbursed two billion and one hundred million naira cash to two thousand Orphans in Kebbi State to pursue their education.
Speaking at the occasion, the Acting Director General of the Organization in Nigeria, Al-Amin Ahmed Hamza, said the league has been rendering humanitarian assistance to Nigerians, particularly the Orphans.
He stated that, out of the seven point six billion naira earmarked for some selected states in Nigeria, Kebbi State has the largest share with two point one billion naira because it has the highest number of Orphans among the selected states.
According to the Acting Director General, the beneficiaries would receive from 400 thousand to one million Naira and will be monitored to ensure judicious utilization.
Ahmed Hamza, however called on wealthy individuals to emulate the Muslims World League by providing support to Orphans and the less privileged ones in the society.
The Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, commended the Muslims World League for providing humanitarian assistance to Orphans in the state particularly in the education sector.
He, therefore, called on the guardians of the beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of the funds in the education of the children to better their livelihood.
One of the beneficiaries, Hassana Yahaya, thanked the Organisation for providing funds to assist them in pursuing their education.
