19th Lagos Supremacy Cup: Goals, Top Quality Matches, As Tournament Kicks Off In Lagos

The 19th edition of the prestigious Lagos Supremacy Cup started Wednesday, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, with top quality matches and goals rain on matchday one.
In the first game of the day that kicked off at 7am according to the schedule, highly ranked 36 Lion FC lost 0-2 to the defending champions Dino FC.
The game was followed in quick succession by the match between Beyond Limit FC who defeated boastful Seamoriow FC 1-0.
The third game of the day produced seven goals, as Ikorodu City survived the late rally of Real Saphire, who came back from 3 goals to level up, but the more experienced Ikorodu City pulled the lever to win the exciting game 4-3.
Matches between Charlesann FC and FC Bethel, and Broad City FC against Dino FC, both ended in draws of 0-0 and 2-2 respectively.
Game six of the day, saw Seamoriow redeemed themselves with 2-1 victory over MS Success FC.
While 36 Lion FC came back stronger in the last game of day to beat Real Saphire 2-0.
As the theme of this year’s edition was tagged ‘No Offside’, it was no brainer that a total of 19 goals was recorded from the 7 matches played on matchday one.
Matches continue Thursday, beginning 7am at the same venue.
