Olowu Congratulates New Chief Of Army Staff, Gen Oluyede

Olowu of Kuta, HRM Oba Dr Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun 111, has congratulated the new Chief Of Army Staff, Lt Gen Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede on his confirmation as the substantive COAS.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian Senate confirmed the appointment of Lt Gen Oluyede at its sitting yesterday as substantive COAS.

Oba Makama, in a statement issued by his media office, says Lt Gen Oluyede possesses the requisite experience and track record, having transversed the length and breadth of Nigeria at various times manning strategic position as the Army Chief.

Olowu also congratulated President Bola Tinubu for the choice of Lt Gen Oluyede after the death of the immediate COAS, Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, adding that it will further strengthen the military to tackle the security challenges confronting Nigeria.

He, however, urged Nigerians to continue to support the Nigerian military in order to rid the country of undesirable elements and those fanning the ember of discord across the country.

According to Kabiesi Olowu, ‘the reward of hard work is more work’, he said, reminding the military not to be deterred by the hydra headed insurgent confronting them daily.

“We appreciate you and want you to know that those among you who had paid the Supreme sacrifice will not be forgotten,” Olowu said.
