Osun FA Congress Endorses Key Programs For 2025, Call For Sponsors

In its aspirations for better outings in the coming year, Osun State Football Associations have announced its programs for next year through its statutory congress.

Congress officially endorsed a series of transformative programs set to take effect in the upcoming year.

These initiatives, aimed at reshaping the football landscape in the land following success stories in the ongoing year.

The endorsed programs represent a concerted effort to foster sustainable growth and address urgent challenges. Among the key initiatives are;

• Osun State Football League whose main objective is to immerse young players (Under 17) into a regulated competitive environment, allowing them to advance their careers from the grassroots to the professional level. The League unites players from all demographics helping them to develop and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

• Osun Women’s Football League. The mission is to promote and developwomen football in the state by providing a competitive and supportive environment for players, coaches, and officials. With the success story of the maiden edition, the aspiration is for more female players to be unearthed from the grassroots.

• Osun Kiddies Football League (OSKFL). This project is to provide a fun, safe,and developmental environment for young football players (Under 12), promoting physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

• Osun Inter-Collegiate Football League (OCFL). It is an inter-higher institutions football league powered by Osun State Football Association.

OCFL provides a place for all Universities, Polytechnic, and Colleges of Education in Osun State to play amateur football at a competitive standard while embracing social and community responsibilities and promoting respect, inclusion, and fair play.

• The Osun State Principals’ Cup. It is an age-long competition among secondary schools in the state, aimed at discovering talent to represent the country in international football competitions.

The newly packaged Osun State Principals’ Cup is for both males and females.

This is part of the FA’s inclusive and diversity policy of engaging all the hitherto marginalized groups through football competitions.

The Osun State Headmasters’ Cup. It is an age-long competition among primary schools in the state, aimed at unearthing young budding soccer talents and simultaneously fulfilling the exercise needs of the children.

Our mission is to make school football a memorable experience for everyone involved in a safe and inclusive environment, that provides competitions for all schools and children in our over 4000 primary schools both privately-held and publicly-owned.

.Osun Corporate Football League, is to promote recreational sports, it promises to provide great entertainment for the stakeholders and serves as a platform for corporate bodies to showcase their products and services.

.Osogbo Street Soccer Challenge promises to deliver unparalleled excitement for football stakeholders in Osogbo, arguably the fastest-developing city in the South West of Nigeria.

A lot of superstars were made on the street, likewise, stars in the making are waiting curiously to grab this opportunity.

In light of these ambitious goals, the association is now turning its attention to securing the necessary support for the programs’ successful implementation.

The FA have called on private sector partners, philanthropists, and corporate sponsors to step up and join forces with the associations to ensure these initiatives are fully realized.

According to Mayor Sola Fanawopo, the association’s chief, “we cannot do this alone. We need the support of businesses and individuals who share our vision for a better tomorrow.” He said.

“Osun FA is particularly focused on partnering with sponsors who can provide funding, resources, or expertise to make these programs more impactful.” He submitted.
