Just In: DSS Arrests Ogunkelu Over Lagos Assembly Crisis ….Begins Manhunt For Others

Instead of thaw, the Lagos State House of Assembly crisis over the removal of Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker is far from over.

Inside source revealed that Hon Sylvester Ogunkelu, representing Epe 02 in the Lagos Assembly has been arrested by the DSS over his role in the removal of the former Speaker.

He was alleged to have broken into the House on January 13 when Obasa’s removal was carried out.

Also, the manhunt for others have begun in earnest.

According to our source, DSS also made attempt to arrest Hon Olanrewaju Afinni, representing Lagos Island constituency 02, but they were resisted by Afinni’s supporters on the Island.

It is not clear if the DSS operatives acted on petition from Obasa or order from above as it is been speculated.

The former Speaker had boasted after he was said to have met President Bola Tinubu in Abuja before returning to Lagos where he insisted of being the speaker that his removal will be reversed within three months.

Also, some members of the Governor’s Advisory Council, GAC, have been at loggerheads over the removal of Obasa.
