Bago, Abba Yusuf, Kwankwàso, Ighodalo, Adegbite, Duke, Others Storm Lagos To Celebrate Bishop Idahosa At 60
Eminent personalities across the country yesterday literally shut down the Sheraton hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, as they poured encomium on the Archbishop Designate and founder of God First Ministry Incorporation, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, who turned 60.
From Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, the Keynote speaker, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP to Kano’s Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuff who was represented by his Commissioner, there was unanimity that Bishop Idahosa has a huge role to play in the emerging new Nigeria.
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago was more dramatic.
The Niger state governor who held everyone spellbound through his chanting ‘ Praise God, Hallelujah! Said the only way we could bring change in Nigeria is to be tolerant of one another.
He said: ” There’s no compulsion in religion. I grew up attending the missionary school, and I had to learn the article of faith in the christiendom.
He started by singing the Christian warfare song, “Ho My Comrades, see the signal,” and ended with ” Let The Spirit of the Lord come down” to the admiration of everyone.
” I am not here to preach, but I have a message. It shall be well with you and your family.” He added.
Other dignitaries at the ceremony include former Minister of Petroleum, Prof Ibe Kachickwu, former governor of Cross Rivers state, Donald Duke, Executive Secretary of Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission and CAN Chairman, Lagos state, Bishop Stephen Adegbite and Bishop Ogendengbe.
Others were Archbishop Osa Oni, Bishop Dr Theophilus Ajose, Ex Eagles international stars, Julius Aghahowa, and his wife, Victor Ikpeba, and Segun Arinse who was a compere at the event.
