Edwin Clarke Was A Commendable Elderstatesman-CUPP
The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has described the late Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clarke as a commendable elderstatesman.
Reacting to his death in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Comrade Mark Adebayo, said the death of Chief Edwin Clarke has again cost Nigeria one of its brightest and commendable elderstatesmen just a few days after losing Pa Ayo Adebanjo, another giant in the constellation of Nigeria’s best.
The statement read; “Pa Edwin Clarke’s contributions to the sociopolitical development development of Nigeria was both historic and indelible.

“He stood against the environmental degradation of his people and region of the Niger Delta as much as he fought for democracy and justice in Nigeria as a whole.
“He was a constant denominator in the efforts to fix Nigeria’s myriad of challenges in conjunction with other patriotic elements across the length and breadth of Nigeria.
“He was a voice of wisdom, caution, and justice. The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, commiserates with his immediate family and all Nigerians as a whole for the loss of this great man.”
