‘You Have No Business Going To Canada’, Amb Joe Keshi Tells Gen Christopher Musa

A former diplomat, Ambassador Joe Keshi, has questioned the rationale behind the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa’s going to Canada for a programme meant for physically challenged athletes.

Keshi, who spoke on Arise News current affairs programme, The Morning Show, monitored in Lagos on Thursday, said the Chief of Defence Staff should stay back at home and face the insecurity plaguing the country squarely.

He wondered why Gen Musa was still mussing on his visa rejection to Canada one week after when he has no business going there in the first place.

According to him, ” his men are dying fighting the criminal elements in the country. He has no business going to Canada. He should stay back at home and confront the insurgents headlong.

” How many of our people who paid money for visa have been rejected? Why is he crying over the visa issue one week after?

Speaking on the allegations by US Congressman Scott Perry that USAID was used to fund Boko Haram, Amb Keshi said the National Assembly should get to the root of the matter.

” Perry is there in the US playing his own politics, but I think our national assembly should unravel the mystery behind those sponsoring Boko Haram,” he added.
