NEDC Gives Assorted Food Items To Downtrodden In Borno

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has presented more than 9,000 assorted food items to vulnerable women and the downtrodden in Borno state.
The items which include: 3000 (25kg) bags of rice, 2000 (50kg) bags of sugar, 2000 gallons of vegetable oil and 2000 cartons of pasta, were distributed through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) office of the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu in a ceremony held in Maiduguri.
The items were received by wife of Borno State Governor, Dr Falmata Zulum represented by Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Hajjiya Hauwa Mai Musa.

Engineer Mohammed Umaru, the Coordinator of the NEDC Borno State Office, presented the items on behalf of the MD/CEO of the NEDC, Mohammed Alkali, who revealed that the same gesture will be extended to all the wives of the state governors in the other five states of the Northeast.
SA Women Affairs to Governor Zulum acknowledged the enormous contributions the Commission has made to the state’s citizens in all spheres of life, especially the vulnerable and those affected by insurgency.
