Dangote Suspends Sale Of Petroleum In Naira

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has temporarily halted the sale of Petroleum products in Naira.

The management in a statement signed said the decision is necessary to avoid a mismatch between oil sales proceed and crude oil purchase obligation which is denominated in dollars.

The statement states further that to date, “our sales in petroleum products in Naira has exceeded the value of Naira denominated crude we have received. “

The management also pledged it’s commitment to serving Nigerian market efficiently and sustainably.

” As soon as we received Naira denominated crude from the NNPC, we will promptly resume petroleum products sales in Naira.”
