2027: Tinubu, Idris’s Supporters In Kebbi Set To Organise Football Tournament To Celebrate Two Years Anniversary

President Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasiru Idris 2027 support groups have initiated an exciting football tournament to celebrate the two-year anniversary in office, which will feature the four Emirates in Kebbi State, as the winner of the tourney will receive a trophy plus a car.
The State Commissioner for Works who also doubles as the Chairman of the competition Committee, Engr. Abdullahi Umar Muslim during a press conference exoressed that the tournament is aimed to strengthen unity among youths in the state.
“We are here as organisers of the Tinubu/Idris two years anniversary Football tournament to be competed for among the four Emirates Council in the State, the youths feel desirous to do something to unite them in the entire state, and noting that football offers such an opportunity,”he said.
The tournament according to him, will feature some attractive prizes, including a trophy and a car for the winning team, a new motorcycle and N500,000 for the runners-up, and N500,000 for the third place.
Other prizes include N300,000 for the fourth position, N100,000 for the highest goal scorer, N100,000 for the best goalkeeper, and N100,000 for Man of the Match.
The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth and Sports who is the Secretary of the Committee, Muhammad Umar Tilli, disclosed that the match schedule will start on May 25, 2025, with Gwandu and Zuru Emirates slugging it out at the FIFA model Stadium, Birnin Kebbi.
While Argungu and Yauri will lock horns on the 26th at the same venue, the 3rd place match takes place the next day on the 27th, while the competition comes to a climax on the 28th, with first and second place position playing the final, he said.
The Perm. Sec emphasized that the tournament is to celebrate good governance of Tinubu and Kauran Gwandu and not merely to win, We shall provide free feeding and accommodation to participants, with a N500,000 reward to the most behaved supporters’ group from any Emirate by the Commissioner.
The tournament promises to be an exciting event, bringing together youths from different Emirates in Kebbi State to celebrate the achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Idris.
