Ogun Monarch Lauds Abiodun On Infrastructural Development, Others

The Ologere of Ogere-Remo, in Ikenne Local Government Area, Oba James Obafemi Saliu, has lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for ensuring equitable distribution of developmental projects across the state.

Oba Saliu stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in his palace at Ogere.

He noted that Ogere has benefited from the administration with the construction of the Awomosu-Agbato road and the rehabilitation of Christ Church School in the town.

According to Oba Saliu, the governor has positively touched many lives in the state, scoring him high in road infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, and human capital development.

He said: “In Ogere here, he has reconstructed the Awomosu-Agbato road; that road is very important to us because it has enhanced the economic performance of our people at the toll gate market and Ogere in general.

“There is a toll gate market in Ogere which is very popular, and that market is a place where we have all the tribes in Nigeria: the Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Igede, and many more. You cannot talk of commerce without roads; roads are very important to commerce, and he has really tried.

“He is a listening governor despite the fact that he has to deal with the many challenges facing the state. Ogun State belongs to him; all the towns belong to him. People will be saying they need this and that, and he has been listening and responding accordingly.

“For example, in Ogere, our request that was taken to him was listened to, and he responded very well. The request was for the renovation of Christ Church School, and he has renovated the school.

“If you go to that school now, the pupils are very happy, the teachers are very happy, and I am also very happy as the king of the town because that was the primary school I went to. So he listened and responded very well positively.”

He emphasized that Ogere is gradually becoming the most industrialized town in the state as a result of the daily emergence of industries, hence the need for the government to give it a special place in terms of allocating more infrastructure.

The monarch commended the governor for providing the enabling environment for investors.

“Let us thank the governor for giving them the opportunity through a friendly business environment because if the governor did not give them the chance, companies would run away; they would not stay.

“He performed very well in terms of roads compared to any governor I have seen in my lifetime in Ogun State,” he added.

He called for adequate provision of security in the area, as the town has a large population of people from other parts of the country who live and engage in commercial activities.
