Kebbi Govt Releases N422.19m To 6,127 Indigenous Students

In his determination to make learning conducive for Kebbi indigenes studying at the Federal University Birnin-Kebbi (FUBK) and UsmanDanfodio University (UDU) Sokoto, the State government has directed the release and disbursment of the sum of N422.19 million to 6,127 Students.

The Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education Alhaji Isah Abubakar Tunga who disclosed this to newsmen at a press conference in his Ministry, stated that the money is meant for the registration of 2024/ 2025 academic year. 

Alhaji Tunga also disclosed that 3,922 Students in Federal University Birnin-Kebbi would receive the sum of N211.63 million while their counterparts at the Usmandanfodio University (UDUS) Sokoto to receive N210.45 million for their rigistration fee.

The Commissioner disclosed also that efforts are ongoing to pay for other indigineous Students in other Tertiary Insttutions across the Country.
