Mofolorunso Awomolo Foundation Trains 30 Ijesa Youths On Entrepreneurship
The Mofolorunso Awomolo Foundation (MAF) has embarked on training of 30 youths from Ijesaland in Osun State to equip them with skills that would enable them become entrepreneurs.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mofolorunso Awomolo Foundation (MAF), Mr. Olugbenga Awomolo, declared the maiden edition of the FAME Entrepreneurship Bootcamp opened at Ere-Ijesa.
Awomolo reaffirming the Foundation’s deep commitment to nurturing, empowering and accelerating the entrepreneurial journeys of Ijesa youths.
The beneficiaries are Ayandokun Tobi Temidayo, Omole Babatola Kolade, Adeleye Adebusuyi Tobiloba, Olowe Boluwatife Barnabas, Oke Paul Femi, Adelowokan Andrew Tobiloba, Ogungbemi Gideon Idowu, Ajireloja Solomon Idowu, Odewole Ifelayo Grace,Adewale Samson Adeniyi, Adefirantan Eunice Anuoluwapo, Adebowale Opeyemi, Bamilosin Dara Elizabeth and Adeosun Kehinde Ayodeji.
Others are Oke Opeyemi Israel, Adeyeye Mayowa Emmanuel, Fatokun Ayobami Amos, Adewuyi Adegoke, Aduloju Kehinde Elizabeth, Fayehun Damilola Yetunde, Oni Oluwayemi Ezekiel, Bamigbaye Peter Olusesan, Adewumi Olumide, Abdulganiyu Fatai Olayinka, Adewuyi Samuel Adeyemi, Ishola Ayoola Oluwaseun, Ariyo Stephen Temitope, Olalemi Titus, Oke Boluwatife Samuel and Oyeleye Oyebola Rachael.
Awomolo described the FAME Project not merely as a training initiative, but as a strategic interventiona bridge that connects talent with opportunity, ideas with resources, and passion with purpose.
He said “We believe it is critical to equip the next generation of entrepreneurs with the tools to not just survive, but thrive by becoming job creators rather than job seekers.”
He charged the 30 selected participants to embrace the opportunity with seriousness, creativity, and bold thinking, while remaining open to learning.
He emphasized that beyond knowledge, true entrepreneurial success rests on character, integrity, and a strong determination to make meaningful impact in their communities.
In his keynote address, Mr. Michael Oye, Regional Manager of the Bank of Industry (South West Region), congratulated the beneficiaries for qualifying for the phase of the FAME Project.
Speaking on the theme of the bootcamps; “Igniting Ijesa Youth Entrepreneurial Passion for Sustainable Impact in Ijesaland and Beyond”, Oye highlighted the critical role of youth entrepreneurs in driving economic development.
He urged the participants to maximize the opportunity presented by the Bootcamp, acquire solid business skills, and contribute to the growth of the local economy.
Mr. Oye also introduced them to various BOI offerings designed specifically for young entrepreneurs and small businesses, including the BOI Rapid Fund, encouraging them to take full advantage of such resources as they build their ventures.
Also speaking at the event, Dr. Olu Olujide, President of Ilesa Business Schoolthe implementing partner of the FAME Projectoutlined the structure of the Bootcamp.
He said the program will feature an intensive curriculum comprising training modules on entrepreneurship fundamentals, business planning, marketing, finance, risk management, and idea generation.
Participants will receive mentorship, participate in group-based activities, and develop actionable business plans to be pitched before an expert panel in October 2025.
Dr. Olujide added that key stakeholders in the Osun entrepreneurial ecosystemsuch as BOI, NAFDAC, SON, SMEDAN, and NEPChave been invited to interact with the participants and share information on their services and support offerings.
He said “The Bootcamp will also include daily peer reviews, reflections, and culminate in a formal assessment and certificate of participation. Additionally, participants who meet the required standards will be awarded the Certificate of Commerce by Ilesa Business School.The FAME Project Bootcamp 1.0 marks a significant step toward building a resilient, youth-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ijesaland and empowering a new generation of innovators and job creators.”
