NCYP Commends Uba Sani For Inclusive Infrastructure Drive Across Kaduna State

By Bukar BOLORI

The Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP) has comm need Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for approving the construction and reconstruction of several critical road projects across the state.

The group in a statement on Thursday by its Kaduna State Coordinator, Pastor Mathew Yusuf said these interventions demonstrate a clear commitment to inclusive development, equitable governance, and the restoration of dignity to all communities.

Yusuf said: “Of particular significance to us is the approval for the completion of the long-abandoned dual carriageway from PAN Drive through Television Garage to Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area. This road, which serves as a major artery in the southern part of the state capital, had been neglected for years, resulting in severe hardship for commuters and residents. The abandonment of this project had symbolized the marginalization and neglect of the predominantly Southern Kaduna population- who make up over 90% of the residents along that corridor- under the previous administration.”

Gov Uba Sani

He said: “Governor Uba Sani’s decision to complete this vital road project not only eases transportation and boosts local businesses but also serves as a powerful message of inclusion, justice, and respect for the Southern Kaduna people and all residents in the affected communities. This is a clear demonstration of a leadership that prioritizes unity and equity.”

He noted that furthermore, the NCYP also appreciates the government’s commitment to other critical infrastructure projects across the state, including: Construction of an asphaltic road from Durum to Kuruntumawa,, Makarfi LGA; Reconstruction of Romi-Karatudu Township Roads, Chikun LGA; Construction of an asphaltic road from Kachia-Zonkwa Main Road to the New Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia LGA; Reconstruction of Kwoi Township Roads,, Jaba LGA.

Others are the reconstruction and upgrading of Rigasa Township Roads, Igabi LGA; Construction of Kayarda Tasha – Kayarda Gari – U/Sarki – Maskawa – Dan Alhaji Road, Lere LGA; Construction of an asphaltic road from Bassawa Junction through Unguwan Rimi to Hunkiyi Junction., linking Sabon Gari to Kudan LGAs; Reconstruction and upgrading of Zango Road to Asibitin Yara and Musawa Road and; Completion of the abandoned road from Old Kachia Road, at Zenith Bank Roundabout, to Flour Mills at Bypass.

He said: “In addition to these projects, we commend the administration for making provisions of approximately N3.5 billion for compensation and relocation of services along the affected corridors. This deliberate move to ensure that property owners are duly compensated reflects a responsible and humane approach to development.

“As a group committed to the socio-economic progress of our region and the nation at large, the NCYP recognizes these projects as not just physical infrastructure, but symbols of hope, inclusion, and a new era of governance.

“We call on all stakeholders to support the governor in the successful implementation of these projects and urge continued prioritization of fairness, equity, and accountability in leadership.”
