Jakande’s Summer Tech Bootcamp Kicks Off

The much-anticipated Summer Tech Bootcamp, organised by the Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Seyi Jakande, officially began on Monday, August 11.

This is a key initiative of his HEWA Agenda committed to equipping young minds with necessary digital skills to thrive in a technology-driven world.

Day one of the tech bootcamp witnessed a flurry of excitement as children flocked to the two designated centers: Kosybethel Primary School in Ajenifufa and St. Martin Primary School in Damegoro.

The atmosphere was electric with young, eager minds ready to delve into the world of technology and innovation.

Jakande’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Taiwo Ogungbe, who was present on the first day to assess the program, said: “We are here to ensure that our children are given the best possible start in the digital world. This initiative is a cornerstone of the HEWA Agenda, and we are committed to empowering our youth with the skills they need to succeed.”

According to the program schedule, primary school students will engage in focused training sessions from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, while secondary school students will have their sessions from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM from Monday to Friday.

The two-week-long program is designed to offer hands-on activities and interactive lessons, aiming to nurture the next generation of tech-savvy individuals.

By focusing on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Jakande aims to empower the youth and prepare them for a future that is progressively becoming digitally oriented.

The Bootcamp confirms Jakande’s commitment to dedication to enriching the youth with relevant digital skills.

“This is just the beginning,” Ogungbe concluded, “We have a lot more in store for our youth. The future is digital, and we are setting the stage for our children to lead the way.”
