Southern Governors’ Forum Extends Heartfelt Condolences To Governor Ododo On The Passing Of His Father
The Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF) has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the passing of his beloved father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, who departed this life on Monday at the age of 83.
In a condolence message signed by its Chairman and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Forum expressed deep shock at the news of his demise, coming so soon after the passing of Lady Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
The Forum urged Governor Ododo to take solace in the enduring legacies left behind by his late father, who answered Allah’s call surrounded by the love of his children and grandchildren, who will continue to uphold his legacy in service to God and humanity.
The statement read in part: “The Southern Governors’ Forum commiserates with His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the transition of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo
” The loss of a devoted father who gave so much to train his children in the ways of Allah, and who was always available to offer guidance and counsel, is a void that can not be easily filled.
“Yet, as Almighty Allah (SWT) knows best, we submit to His will and stand in firm solidarity with His Excellency, his family, and the Government and people of Kogi State in this moment of grief.
“Alhaji Ododo’s life of faith, service, and humility remains an imperishable legacy. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.”
