Jakande Launches Free GCE Form,Conducts Qualifying Mock Exam

In a significant move to promote education within the community, Hon. Seyi Jakande, the Executive Chairman of the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), launched the free General Certificate Examination (GCE) Form for indigent students of the community during the week with over 1000 collections. This was followed up with qualifying Examination on Friday, August 29 at Ilupeju Grammar School.

This initiative is a key component of Jakande’s HEWA Agenda, aimed at providing students with the tools they need to excel academically and improve their chances of gaining admission to higher institutions or finding employment. By offering free GCE forms, the administration not only reinforces its commitment to educational access but also supports the academic aspirations of local residents.

During his visit to the mock examination venue, Hon. Jakande encouraged the students to give their best effort, highlighting the importance of academic excellence. “This is a check system to ensure students qualify based on merit,” he stated. “We are looking for students who are ready to take ownership of their education within the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye community.”

In addition to the exam launch, Hon. Jakande took the opportunity to encourage all residents over the age of 18 to participate in the ongoing INEC Continuous Voters Registration. He emphasized the importance of civic engagement, urging the youth to collect their PVCs and actively participate in shaping their future.
