Campaign Of Calumny Will Not Deter Us From Fulfilling Electoral Promises- Idris

The kebbi State Government has said that campaigns of calumny being orchestrated by the opposition political parties in the State against the State Governor Dr Nasir Idris, will not in any way prevented his people oriented administration from fulfilling his campaign promises to the people.
The Governor who spoke through his Commissioner of Information, Yakubu Ahmed at a Press Conference in Birnin-Kebbi stated that the state government was dismayed to have observed the clandestine moves by the agents of the opposition parties to portray the state government in bad light.
The Commissioner expressed that such acts are really very disheartening, sad and unfortunate, pointing out that in as much as people have the right to oversight the state government, that should be done with decorum and not with outright envy.
“Such oversight functions are normal and acceptable everywhere as part of the elements of democracy, this is to ensure that the right things are done and this is so in all democratic climes.”
In a related development, the State governor has ordered the immediate suspension of the Commissioner for Health, Comrade Yunusa Isma’il till further notice for negligent of duty.
The secretary to the state government Yakubu Bala Tafida made this known in a statement conveying the instructions of the Executive Governor to the suspended Commissioner.
The instruction ordered the commissioner to give cogent reasons as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against him for negligence of duty and disregard to his mandate as the State Commissioner for Health.
