Jakande Joins Other Council Chairmen At Lagos State Retreat On Local Government Reform
Hon. Seyi Jakande, Executive Chairman of Òdì‑Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, joined council chairmen across Lagos for a two‑day retreat by the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission at Novatel Hotel, Chevron, Lekki from Oct 2 to 4.
Held under the theme “Navigating The Future of A Dynamic Local Government Service,” the retreat focused on inter‑council collaboration, improved governance and sustainable development through workshops, interactive sessions and expert-led discussions.
Reflecting on impact of the retreat, Jakande said the forum offered “a vital platform to share insights and best practices” and pledged to apply the lessons learned to strengthen service delivery and promote sustainable local development in line with his HEWA Agenda.

The retreat underscores the Lagos State Government’s dedication to fostering effective local governance, equipping council chairmen with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the evolving landscape of public service.
