Jakande Unveils JAKO Jollof In Grand Style
Hon. Seyi Jakande, the vibrant local council Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, has launched an exciting initiative called JAKO Jollof, providing nutritious meals to public primary school pupils every Friday. This program complements his Back-to-School Initiative, aimed at enhancing education and supporting families.
The unveiling was held at St Martins, Danmegoro, Mushin on Friday, October 17, with students from all the 28 Public primary school of the LCDA in attendance.
The JAKO Jollof initiative ensures that students enjoy delicious, healthy meals as part of their school week, reflecting Jakande’s commitment both to educational enrichment and child nutrition.
Local vendors have also been contracted to prepare and serve JAKO Jollof rice, not only nourishing young learners but also stimulating the local economy by creating jobs and opportunities for local businesses.
“Today’s unveiling of JAKO Jollof represents our unwavering commitment to our students and our dedication to uplifting the community,” Jakande stated during the launch.
He emphasized the initiative’s dual focus: providing balanced meals for children while fostering economic growth through local vendor participation.
Parents have expressed their gratitude, highlighting the relief the program brings to their weekly meal preparations.
