Egbetokun Names AIG Nkechi Eze As Pioneer Director Of Police Medical Directorate
Kayode Egbetokun, inspector-general of police (IGP), has appointed Nkechi Eze, an assistant inspector-general of police (AIG), as the first director of the newly created Directorate of Force Medical Services.

Benjamin Hundeyin, force public relations officer, announced the appointment in a statement on Thursday.
Hundeyin said the development followed the upgrade of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) medical section into a full-fledged directorate.
He said the move was part of efforts to enhance access to quality healthcare for police personnel across the country.
According to him, Egbetokun congratulated Eze and urged her to use her experience to build a world-class medical system within the force.
“Eze is a distinguished clinician, dental surgeon, and administrator who brings over 27 years of exemplary service to her new role,” the statement read.
Born in Umuahia, Abia state, and hailing from Agbudu in Udi LGA of Enugu state, AIG Eze holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Benin.
