Just In: PDP Suspends Anyanwu, Legal Adviser, Others

The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP , has suspended its national secretary,Senator Samuel Anyanwu, National Organising Secretary, Hon Umar Barure, National legal adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN and deputy National legal adviser, Barr Okechukwu Osuoha for one month while they referred them to the disciplinary committee.

This decision may have arisen as a result of the stoppage of the National Convention yesterday by the Abuja High Court

This decision was taken by the NWC at its 608th meeting held on Saturday November 1, 2025.

According to the NWC, “During this period of the suspension, they cease to function in their respective capacities.

“In the case of the National Secretary, Pursuant to Section 36(2) of our Party Constitution as amended in 2017, the Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Arc. Setonji Koshoedo shall act as the National Secretary.

“In the case of the National Legal Adviser and the Deputy National Legal Adviser, the National Director of Legal Services is hereby directed to oversees the activities of the Department.”
