Ex-Anambra Governor, Willie Obiano, Is Dead
Former Governor of Anambra State, Sir Willie Obiano, has reportedly passed away in London after battling severe heart failure and complications related to urinary cancer.
According to a senior family source, “His health had been declining in the past months, but the final collapse came suddenly. We are devastated.”
Medical officials in London confirmed that Obiano had been receiving intensive care in the days leading to his death as his condition continued to deteriorate.
“He fought till the very last moment,” a hospital insider revealed.
Chief Willie Obiano served as the fourth democratically elected governor of Anambra State and left a footprint in governance, infrastructure, and security reforms during his tenure.
