Terrorists Attack Of Maga: Pandemonium In Kebbi As Gov Idris Assures Parents Of Timely Rescue Of Their Wards

Following the pandemonium in Kebbi Community of Maga at the wee hours of Monday, Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State has assured parents of quick rescue of their children and wards.

Gov Idris gave this assurance while addressing newsmen in Maga town shortly after he met with security agencies, traditional rulers, parents of the abducted Children and Stakeholders.

He assured parents that security operatives would be working tirelessly to ensure safe returns of the 25 abducted School girls.

“We have urged them to remain confident as the security operatives would be doing the needful, this is why we are in Maga to give hope to our people and encourage them.” He said.

Meanwhile, parents of the abducted students of Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School Maga, Zuru Local Government area of Kebbi state have continue to expressed their Shock and appealed to government and security agencies and government at all levels to come to their aid.

In an interview with one of the parents of the children Malam Tukur Sani , said he received the shocking news when he wanted to go to the farm in the early hours of Monday.

He said since then, he is in the school compound to see the situation and to find out if their children could be rescued today, but he only witness the presence of security agencies comprises of Army, police, and vigilante members.

Amina the wife of the slained Vice Principal, Malma Lawali Altine said his daughter Hauwau lawali was among the students abducted and she is in JSS 2 and appealed to the Federal and State Governments to assist them in rescuing the Young female Children.

Hajiya Rani Maga said her daughter was also kidnapped and since morning she is the school premises without eating anything and can’t control her tears and also appealed for quick intervention by the government and security agencies at all levels.

Also, the wife of the security master of the school, Amina Hassan, whose her husband was also shot dead during the attack, narrated how the bandits entered their house and shot him in her presence.

As at the time of filling this report, three Students who escaped from the kidnappers out of 25 of them have reported.
