Ooni’s Ex- Queen Married Akume A Year Ago- Aide
Yomi Odunuga, media Aide to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has said contrary to the media reports, the marriage of Ooni’s ex Queen to his boss was consummated a year ago.
Odunnuga in an interview with the Punch said because they step out together during the Christmas that’s why people are publishing that it’s a new marriage.
” The wedding took place last year”, he added.
It will be recalled that the marriage was officially made public on the Christmas Day, when Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George was received in Akume family.
The reports read:
“The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has officially wed Queen Zaynab Ngohemba, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.”
The announcement was made public on Friday by a facebook user and member of the Dajoh family, Abraham Double-d Dajoh, via a celebratory social media post.
He confirmed the union between the high-ranking government official and the former Olori of the Ife Kingdom.The Dajoh family described the union as “beautiful” and “uncommon,” as they formally welcomed her into their fold in Benue State.
In a statement that quickly went viral, the Dajoh family expressed their collective joy, signalling a significant chapter for the SGF’s household.
“We, the entire Dajoh Family, happily join our daddy, uncle and brother, His Excellency, The Secretary To The Government Of The Federation, Sen. George Akume Jugu Dajoh in welcoming his new and uncommon wife, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh, into the Dajoh family,” the post read.
The family further extended their appreciation to the political associates and supporters of the SGF, urging them to remain steadfast in their loyalty to him as he embarks on this personal journey.
“We appreciate and thank the fans and supporters of Sen. Akume for always standing by him. We enjoin every one of you to continue to support his Excellency even in this beautiful union with Queen Zaynab,” the post further stated.
