Just In: Rivers Assembly Begins Impeachment Procedure Against Fubara

Instead of thaw, the crisis that engulfed politics of Rivers State that necessitated the Emergency proclamation by President Bola Tinubu has begun in earnest.

The renew hostility between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his estranged godfather and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike over budget presentation has re-opened old wound.

The Martins Amaewhule led House of Assembly which is believed to be very close to the FCT Minister has begun impeachment process with the majority leader raising the issue of Gross Misconduct against Governor Fubara over non presentation of 2026 budget.
