Abdulsalami, Ooni, Sultan, Makinde, Aiyedatiwa, Others For Falae’s Autobiography Launch
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) under the presidency of General Ibrahim Babangida, HRM, Oba Samuel Olu Falae will launch his Autobiography on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
The monarch who carries the national honours of CFR and GCON, also served the nation as Minister of Finance between January and September, 1990.
Entitled The Triumph of Grace, the book will be formally presented to the public at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos beginning from 11a.m.
Former Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar is billed to chair the event. Royal Fathers will be Ooni of Ife, Oba Eniitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar while the Royal Host will be Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Odundun III.
Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde is expected to unveil the book while the Ondo state Governor, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa will be the Host Governor. Dr Olusegun Mimiko, former Ondo state Governor, will review the book on the occasion.
Dignitaries are expected from various sectors – government, finance, politics, public service, royalty, academics etc.
After years in the public service, Falae was also in the banking industry, rising to the topmost level before being invited to serve as SGF by the then President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
Falae who is presently a frontline monarch as Olu of Ilu-Abo, in Akure North local government area of Ondo State, was the Presidential candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the 1999 Presidential election in Nigeria.
