Gov Idris, Aliero, Ex -Army Chief, Others Storm Zuru As Kebbi Assembly Speaker Is Buried

 The body of the late Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, has been buried according to Islamic rite in his country home of Zuru, on Thursday evening.

His remains arrived from Cairo, Egypt, where he passed away, to Zuru airport, en route Abuja.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Zuru, Liman Suleiman Tanko, attended by hundreds of thousands of mourners, including, Governor Nasir Idris, and the deputy Governor, Sen. Umar Abubakar Tafida.

The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi Sami Gomo 111 National and State Assembly members, government functionaries, the political class, businessmen, and other personalities from all walks of life, were among sypathisers at the internment.

Among them were two former Governors of the state, Sen. Muhammadu Adamu Alieru and Amb. Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi and Kebbi APC Chairman, Abubakar Muhammadu Kana Zuru.

The late State Lawmaker representing Zuru Constituency in the Kebbi Legislature, died of a prolonged illness at a Cairo hospital on Monday at the age of 56.
