Nigeria Condoles Turkey, Syria Over Earthquakes

The Federal Government has commiserated with governments of Turkey and Syria over the devastating earthquakes that left thousands dead and several others injured with many others still trapped in both countries

In a separate press statements signed by the Spokesperson Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Francisca Omayuli, the Nigerian government sent his condolences over the disaster.

The devastating earthquakes that occurred in the South Eastern part of Turkey on Monday resulted in the death of thousands of people in the affected areas, earthquakes also on the same day left 1,600 dead in Syria.

One of the statements read: “Nigeria stands in solidarity with Türkiye in these trying times and pledges its readiness to assist in any way possible.”

The second statement read that: “Nigeria stands in solidarity with Syria in these trying times and pledges its readiness to assist in any way possible.”
