FCC Commissioners Debunk Alleged No Confidence Vote On Chairman
The purported Vote of No Confidence on the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr Muheeba Dankaka by some Commissioners has been discovered to be false as no such event took place.
An online news medium, published the false story which has exposed it (the online medium) to ridicule.
Investigations revealed that while there was indeed a meeting of the Commissioners on Thursday, 10 August, 2023, it was normal and routine meeting of the Commissioners with the Chairman.
“It was our usual meeting and nothing of such was discussed. The publication was false and reading through it, the writer of the story and the medium should cover their heads in shame.
“We had our routine meeting and these minority people got our usual attendance list and said we passed a vote of no confidence. Nothing of such happened,” an FCC Commissioner told this medium.
Another Commissioner stated that there is no reason for such vote since the Chairman is doing well and proceedings at the Committee have exonerated Dr Dankaka of any wrongdoing.
“The minority group have lost out. They’re now desperate. The proceedings at the House of Representatives Committee have exonerated our Chairman, and they’re not happy about this. They’re desperate. We never passed any Vote of No Confidence on the Chairman,” the Commissioner said.
When our reporter read the story, it was a watery presentation with no fact. There was no list of Commissioners presented, the full text of the purported communique was published and to an unbiased mind, it was purely a hatchet job done in very disgusting manner.
