Kebbi Customs Mourns Slain Colleagues, Calls For Marine Services

The Kebbi State Command of the Nigeria Customs on Saturday while mourning their departed colleagues who were killed by herdsmen suspected to be bandits early Thursday morning called on the Federal Government to provide the Command with Marine Services.
Just as the Command said it has seized items which street value worth N164.86 million from smugglers shin ten days of the previous seizures.
The State Comptroller of Customs, Dr. Ben Oramalugo while briefing newsmen on the feet achieved by his Officers and men explained that 371 parcels of cannabis sativa otherwise called india hemp was intercepted at kwara water side in Suru Local Government Area of the State.
Other items seized are 98 packs of diazepam, 10 sacks of snuff, 1,080 pieces of donkey skins, 37 bags of foreign rice, 300 liters of PMS, 16 bales of second hand clothings and one used Toyota Corolla which was used as for conveying the smuggle items.
“You will recalled that ten days ago during our last press briefing on the 14th August, 2023, we made a vow that henceforth, there would be no breathing space for smugglers in Kebbi Command, especially those who smuggle drugs and other items injurious to our health and the Nations economy.
“Gentlemen of the press, the local point of this press briefing is on drugs so that it may interest to know that drug was valued at N94.84 million.”
