INEC Suspends Elections In Akwa Ibom, Kano And Enugu Over Malpractices

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said it has suspended bye and rerun elections in three states because of malpractices and abduction of adhoc staff.

INEC in a statement issued by its national commissioner on information and voter education, Sam Olumekun, says the decision of the commission to suspend elections in Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Kano states aligns with section 24(3) of the electoral act 2022.
