Inside Ojodu FRSC’s Business Centre Of Corruption

The federal road safety commission, especially the Ojodu Berger in Lagos state, has become notorious for obnoxious practices and how to defraud motorists once you are booked for an offence.
On Monday, July 1, 2024, yours sincerely was booked for faded plate number ( Number Plate Violation) at the Ojodu office of the commission. Since I was not in the mood to argue with them, I allowed them to issue their receipts. The offence carries 3k.
When I got to the office to make payment. An officer ( name withheld) explained to me that I either go to the bank to make payment that remita will charge 200 naira handling fees.
He, however, advised that I should use the FRSC unofficial business centre beside the Ojodu office.
He explained that the business centre will charge 500 naira in addition to 200 remita fees. But when I approcahed the young man fronting for frsc, he added another 100 naira.
After back and forth, I paid 3,800 for a fine of 3k because I don’t want ‘wahala’ .
To my surprise, the receipt generated from the adroid phone given to me carried 3,177.38. That means they have taken 622.62 naira from me.
The new Corps Marshall, Shehu Mohammed has his job cut for him to rid the frsc of the corrupt elements in the system.
Nigeria truly needs a rebirth. Everything is wrong with Nigeria.
