How Lagos Prince Was Murdered In Broad Daylight

Prince Demola Akinloye, the only son of his late mother to Ojomu of Ajiranland, was said to have been murdered around the Chevron area of Lekki on Monday around midday.

But contrary to our earlier reports, Prince Demola is not the first born.

Authoritative source said Prince Jide is the first born, but because Prince Demola was in charge of Oba Akinloye’s farm project, people thought he was the first born.

Sources close to the Palace said Prince Demola, a masters degree holder from a prestigious university abroad, was killed in cold blood.

His assailants, according to the source, trailed him from the Kabiesi’s farm since he was in charge of monitoring the project to the Chevron area.

Initially, a motorcycle was allegedly used to block him by his assailants, but when that didn’t succeed, the Gunmen hit his car from behind and while Prince Demola jumped down to see the impact of the damage on his car only for his assailants to fire several shots at him at close range.

As he ran back to his car to sped off, he fell because of the hail of bullet that hit him.

His assailants according to the source also used Jack knife to stab him to ensure that he wouldn’t survive the attack.

Who dunnit? That has been difficult to unravel.

The source also hinted that Prince Demola, unlike other young men whose fathers owned the vast expanse of land around the Lekki area, was not into land matter.

Was it a case of mistaken identity or coincidence? The source said there have been tension in the area over land and that a young man who he alleged is very close to the top hierarchy of the Nigerian police has been running riot in the area reselling all the lands that have been previously sold with forged deeds of assignment and other documents,” but may have come to his wits end recently with the new automated documents that blocked him from doing so,” the source hinted.

According to the source, ” everyone here lives in fear because the young man unleashing terror on whoever tries to stop his land grabbing antics. About two years ago, our youth leader was murdered in the same way. And up until today, his killers were not known. In fact, there was a time when a former Commissioner of Police in Lagos state and other top hierarchy visited him. He is always telling those who care to listen that he’s well connected to the top.” He added.

Meanwhile, Lagos CP, Adegoke Fayoade, and a DCP were said to have visited the Palace yesterday to commiserate with Oba Akinloye and also promised to fish out the killers of his son.
