Ada and Kingsley Memeh hosted family and friends at a Celebration of the life of Mrs. Mary Ebun Idoko at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos on 31st August 2024.

Mrs. Mary Ebun Idoko was born in Ibadan, on May 31st, 1946 to the family of Chief James Akanbi Shoyemi (late), a top police officer, from Abeokuta in Ogun State and his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Adebisi Shoyemi (late) an industrious businesswoman.

She attended St Mary’s Convent School, Inalende and St Monica’s Girls Grammar School, Ondo before enlisting in the Police Force in 1967.

In 1971 she attended the Police College for a Cadet Inspectorate course before moving to the Nigerian Security Organization (NSO) and thereafter the State Security Services(SSS).

After a distinguished and meritorious service, she voluntarily retired from Service in 1993 as an Assistant Director.

She is survived by her husband, Chief (Dr) David Ichekpa Idoko, 5 children and 18 grandchildren.
