FUBK Confers Honorary Doctorate Degree On Four Eminent Nigerians

The Federal University Birnin-Kebbi is to hold its maiden convocation ceremony on Saturday 12th October, 2024 as the University would conferred honorary PHD degree on four eminent Nigerians.
The Vice Chancellor of the Universe, Professor, Muhammad Zaiyan Umar at a pre convocation press conference with Journalists Wednesday averred that a total of number of 3,373 graduands comprises of five sets of graduates from 2017/2018 to 2021/2022 academic year.
Professor Umar stated further the maiden convocation is very unique to him because the occasion coincide with ten years of academic activities of the the University which invariably is the first of its kind in the history the University.
He expressed that the Federal University Birnin-Kebbi shall be conferring Honorary Doctorate degree on four distinguished Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various live endeavours.
The distinguished eminence include, the former governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Saidu Usman Dakingari, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, the founder of Oriental Energy Resources Ltd., Mr Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman Zinox Croup and founder, Kings.Com and Ambassador Abubakar Sani (Makama Sokoto) whom he said they have contributed tremendously to the take off and transformation of the University.
“I am glad to announce to us here that we shall be graduating a total number of 3,373 across the five sessions who have been found worthy in character and learning, to receive the degree certificates of the University. The graduands can collect their Certificates immediately after the ceremony.
“I will also call on members of the Press as our partners to help project and widely publicise the University activities to the outside world so that humanity would know that the Federal University Birnin-Kebbi has added 3,373 Graduates who have been found worthy both in learning and character to the human resources and development to global workforce”, he said.
