Lagos FA Hails Ikorodu City Newly-Found Form ..Promises Continued Support For Lagos Based Teams

The newly-found form of Ikorodu City FC, in recent matches of the ongoing NPFL season, has continued to elicit excitements and commendations from football administrators, stakeholders and soccer fans in Lagos State.
In his latest congratulatory message to the players and officials of the team, Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Gafar Liameed, once again lauded the resilience and determination of the team to rise up to the daunting challenges of the NPFL.
Ikorodu City in one of the week 11 matches played on Sunday, defeated host Katsina United 2-1 to rise to the 12th position on the NPFL league standings.
“The latest feats of our darling Ikorodu City, is testament of hardwork, resilience, determination and the zeal to rise above the challenges of playing in the very demanding NPFL,” he noted.
“The leadership of Lagos State Football Association, the stakeholders and of course, the ever-supportive football fans, are assuring Ikorodu City, as well as, other male and female teams participating in various cadres of the Nigeria football league, our of unalloyed continued technical and moral support.
“As we continue to enjoy the enabling environment and supports provided by His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the good people of Lagos State, we remain confident that we will a have minimum of two NPFL teams in Lagos State, next season,” he enthused confidently.
