Bode George To Tinubu: Reduce Petroleum Pump Price To N300 To Cushion The Hardship …Queries Humongous Wealth Of Nigerian Commercial Bank MDs …I’ll Release My Memoir Next Year
“The commercial banks chairmen who followed President Tinubu to France should bear the brunt for our people to be happy this yuletide.”
A former Deputy national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Olabode George, has advised President Bola Tinubu to reduce the pump price of Petroleum to N300 Naira for the yuletide period to cushion the effect of the hardship in the land.
George, who maintained that there is anger and hunger in the land, said it’s possible if there is political will to do so.
According to him, the president should use executive order working with commercial banks executives who declared humongous profit every year to write off the difference as subsidy.
The Atona Oodua, in an interactive session with journalists on Wednesday in Lagos, said if the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu could donate N1bn to a university, there’s enough money to make people smile during the yuletide seasons.
Chief George who maintained that everything revolves around the Petroleum pricing said reducing it to N300 for the Christmas and New Year will lift the burden of the people and make them happy.
He said; ” The commercial banks executive chairmen who followed President Tinubu to France should bear the brunt for our people to be happy this yuletide.”
Speaking earlier, George queries the sources of the humongous profit of the commercial banks managing directors and chairmen in Nigeria, adding that what are they manufacturing that they’re declaring humongous profit every year.”
” What are they doing with the dollars they get from Central Bank of Nigeria? Round Tripping! I think they should be investigated,” he added.
Chief George who says he has forgiven all those who conspired together to send him to Kirikiri, said the prison experience and other issues will be unveiled next year to celebrate his 80th birthday anniversary.
