If Atiku Contest For President In 2027, It Will Be A Walk Over For Tinubu- Dalung
A former minister of sports development, Solomon Dalung has sounded a note of warning to former vice president and People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate in 2023, Atiku Abubakar not to bother to contest in 2027.
Speaking on a podcast MIC On with Seun Okinbaloye on Saturday, Dalung said the only option opened to Atiku Abubakar in 2027 is to mentored the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
He, however, urged the northerners to support a southerner in the opposition against President Bola Tinubu if they’re disappointed about his government.
Dalung, who has since joined the Social Democratic Party said he admired Peter Obi for his courage and garnering over six million votes within a short time.
He said the north is angry that President Tinubu didn’t confront the issue of insecurity headlong to help the poor and peasant farmers to go to their farms.
He explained that the north gave President Tinubu over five million votes and they expected him to tackle the insurgency.
He said despite supporting SDP presidential candidate, Adebayo Adewole during the election, he had to defend Peter Obi when some people came against him, adding that his only crime was that he contested the 2023 presidential election.
