PFN:Opposition Mount Against Bishop Wale Oke’s Re-Election … Bishop John Praise Daniel Tips To Succeed Him

There are strong indications that the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, may not be re-elected as the national convention holding in the next fèw days.

First, to accuse Bishop Oke of ‘infidelity’ to his words was Archbishop Margaret Idahosa, the widow of the foremost pentecostal leader, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, who accused the PFN president of betrayal.

Though, the details were not revealed when she lambasted the PFN leader publicly, insiders say Bishop Oke was so close to Archbishop Idahosa in his lifetime that people were of the opinion that his widow, Archbishop Margaret would have received commensurate support after the demise of his benefactor.

This was not so, as Archbishop Margaret Idahosa told Bishop Oke that he didn’t do well at all at a public outing recently.

Also, since the inception of pentecostal in Nigeria 40 years ago, no northerner has been elected to lead the organisation.

This is where Bishop John Praise Daniel, the presiding Bishop of the Dominion Chapel International Church, with branches in the UK and most parts of Nigeria with its headquarters in Abuja, comes in.

Besides, he’s also the deputy national president of the PFN.

He’s said to have the wherewithal and apolitical to run the elite Christian organisation.

A source in the PFN who craves anonymity because he’s not authorised to speak on the matter said: ” Bishop Oke seems to have ruffled feathers with his style of leadership which seeks to alienate some leaders and founder of the organisation.

“Besides, he is alleged to have directed state PFN to vote for a particular political party in 2023 general elections. This is said to be contrary to the mandate of his office as being father of all as his office demands as leader of umbrella pentecostal organisation, which is the largest in the country.”

The source added that: ” The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu despite being an RCCG Pastor had to distance herself and issued a rebuttal when there was news linking her to a 40-day prayer and fasting by the PFN last year. We want leaders who will embrace all irrespective of religious, creed, political affiliation, and what have you. “
