For Entering Government House With A Snake, Kebbi APC Suspends Governor Idris’s Aide

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State at its stakeholders meeting Sunday has suspended Governor Nasiru Idris’s Special Adviser on Power and Politics, Sani Kabiru Giant for gross misconducts against party authorities, just as the party passed vote of confidence on Governor Idris and President Tinubu.

 Earlier a statement signed by the party’s State Secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad Kimba, on behalf of the State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Kana Zuru was released on Saturday announcing the suspension of Kabiru Sani Giant with immediate effect.

“The State Working Committee (SWC) has suspended you from the party pending further investigation and disciplinary action due to conduct likely to embarrass and bring the party into disrepute, as you admitted before the investigation committee.” The statement read.

The party cited an incident on February 8, 2025, where Kabir Sani Giant allegedly entered the Government House with a snake, causing intimidation among dignitaries and officials.

“This act was deemed offensive, embarrassing, and a violation of Article 21 (2)(ii) of the APC Constitution. Any further misconduct during your suspension may result in stricter disciplinary action, including expulsion.”

Party leaders at the meeting unanimously endorsed the leadership of both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasiru Idris, acknowledging their commitment to good governance.

Governor Idris while talking to Journalists at the end of the meeting said stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed support for President Tinubu and myself to continue our developmental strides.

We also agreed to hold such meetings every two to three months to assess party and government performance.
