Customs Blacklist Access Bank From Generating Form M
The Nigeria Customs Service has warned all licensed clearing agents and importers to desist from opening their Form for cargo importation through Access Bank, pending when all internal issues within the bank are resolved.
This instruction was contained in a memo obtained exclusively by DAILY TREND, directed to all stakeholders at the PTML Command, dated 4th of April 2025, signed by the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) B’Odogwu Project Manager, O.A Oladepo.
The customs also announced that it has since shutdown its operations at the command on NICIS 2, urging all stakeholders to apply for their respective Form M and Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) on the UCMS (B’odogwu) digital platform for all new declarations.
“All licensed customs agent and declarants are by this memo notified that on the instruction of the DCG ICT (MOD), the command wishes to notify all stakeholders on the conclusion of proliferated use of provisional release(4900) for assessments in PTML Command.
“Effective immediately, all stakeholders are to apply for their respective Form M and PAAR on the UCMS (B’odogwu) digital platform for all new declarations.
.“The CAC also wishes to re-iterate that generation of Form M and PAAR on NICIS Il has been discontinued and any agent who generates same on NICIS Il does so at his/her own risk, and would not be able to assess declarations in PTML Command. Consequently, any trader found wanting would have to re-register and start the process all over again.
“The CAC also wishes to. notify all stakeholders to desist from opening their respective Form Ms with ACCESS BANK till all pending internal issues within the bank are resolved” the memo stated.
