The Kayode Ajulo They Don’t Know- By Comrade Olufemi Lawson
“To the good people of Ondo State, this is a time to be vigilant. This is not the moment to be swayed by lies wrapped in anonymous letters. This is the time to stand firm behind a government that is working, an administration that has demonstrated seriousness of purpose and clarity of direction”
In recent days, a rather tasteless and unprovoked article has made the rounds, titled “Governor Aiyedatiwa Must Wake Up Before It’s Too Late”, authored by one faceless and clearly misguided individual, who goes by the name Lade Ebiwanno. While the identity of the said writer is not only suspicious but most likely fictitious, the real intention behind the piece is as glaring as daylight, an orchestrated campaign of calumny, carefully designed to smear the name of one of Ondo State’s brightest and most illustrious sons, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN.
It is, therefore, necessary and indeed a duty to set the record straight, particularly for the benefit of those who may not be conversant with the antecedents of Dr. Ajulo, before his current appointment as the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State.

For over two decades, Dr. Kayode Ajulo has walked a path of commitment, integrity, and sacrifice. His almost entire adult life has been spent in the trenches of pro-democracy advocacy, civil society engagement, and legal excellence. He is not a product of opportunism, neither is he a stranger to service. From his early years as a student leader, through his emergence as a frontline human rights activist and later a globally respected legal luminary, Ajulo has consistently stood on the side of the people.
As a pro-democracy campaigner, he was one of the leading voices against military tyranny and has continued to be a committed voice for democratic accountability and rule of law. As a civil society leader, Ajulo founded and led initiatives that championed good governance and defended the rights of the downtrodden. His intellectual depth, legal acumen, and entrepreneurial achievements have earned him not only respect in Nigeria but also recognition on the global stage.
Before his appointment, he had already etched his name as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), an honor reserved for only the most exceptional practitioners of the law. His firm has represented clients across various sectors with excellence, and his services have been sought after by both public and private entities. More so, Dr. Ajulo has served the country in numerous capacities, including as a member of national committees and international forums. That he was called upon by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to serve as Attorney General is not only a testament to his capabilities but a clear indication of the Governor’s vision to surround himself with men of substance and proven character.
It is, therefore, not surprising that desperate charlatans, rent-seekers, and political scavengers who have, for years, lived fat off the commonwealth of Ondo people without tangible contributions to our growth, would now turn their arrows toward a man like Ajulo. These characters have fed off government agencies and parastatals, not with the aim to serve, but to milk. Now that the tap is gradually running dry under a new order of responsibility and transformation, their frustration has become public.
But make no mistake, Ondo State will no longer return to the era where individual desperation and selfish ambitions are elevated above the general interest of the people. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa knows the caliber of men and women he has chosen to walk with in his mission to reposition Ondo State. He is aware of their integrity, capacity, and loyalty to the people. No amount of faceless blackmail or online vitriol will distract this government from its noble path.
What is happening is a predictable resistance by those who dread accountability. They fear the rising transparency at the Ministry of Justice under Dr. Ajulo. They fear the institutional reforms being introduced. They fear a new order that prioritizes merit over mediocrity, and they fear a government that is no longer available for their insatiable appetite.
To the good people of Ondo State, this is a time to be vigilant. This is not the moment to be swayed by lies wrapped in anonymous letters. This is the time to stand firm behind a government that is working, an administration that has demonstrated seriousness of purpose and clarity of direction.
I urge our people to continue supporting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his “OUR EASE” agenda, which is gradually laying the foundation for a greater Ondo State. Let us not be distracted by noise. Let us not be deceived by those whose only motivation is to return us to the dark era of impunity and self-serving governance.
Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, remains not just a pride of Ondo State, but a symbol of what hard work, integrity, and patriotic service can achieve. The people know. The world knows. And history will be kind to him.
