AJIF Allstars Pre-Season Friendly Games Kick Off Sunday

Ahead of the 1st edition of the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Allstars football league organised by Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Sports Council, a series of friendly matches have been lined up to keep the teams in top shapes, as they prepare for the league tournament scheduled for August, 2025.
These rounds of pre-tournament matches starts tomorrow (Sunday), at the Nathaniel Idowu football pitch, Oregie, Ajegunle.
Speaking with journalists on the plans for the preseason matches, Director-General of AJIF Sports Council, McAnthony Anaelechukwu stated that the football tournament is aimed at fostering unity, engendering peace and of course, boosting the health and well-being of the players, who are mostly businessmen and retired footballers in the Ajegunle community.

“Beginning tomorrow being Sunday, we’ll kickoff the 7th edition of the monthly rounds of friendly in preparation for the long awaited All Stars League. While the Saturday rounds of matches begins next week at the same venue.”
The awards-winning sports administrator, further disclosed that each match would be played for 40 minutes in each half.
The fixtures for Sunday’s games begins with Westminster All Stars tackling Tolu All Stars by10:00am; Mighty Sparrows FC will battle Indomitable All Stars by 11:30am; and by 1pm, By Force by Power FC goes to battle against Brilliant All Stars.
Other fixtures of the day include, Golden United versus Lisbon FC at 2:30pm; Albion All Stars FC against New Great FC at 4:00pm and Golden Boys FC trade tackles with Utility All Stars at 5:30pm, in the last game of the day.
