LG Poll: Lagosians Decide

The Lagos State local government election has commenced across the state as scheduled.

Voting has commenced as early as 8:30am in Adeniji Adele, on the Island, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja and other parts of the state according to news monitored on Channels Television.

Candidates are vying for 57 chairmanship seats and 376 councillorship seats in the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas in the state.

Speaking about the preparation for the election, Chairperson of Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile rtd, said no candidates were disqualified across the political parties participating in the council poll.
