Again, Atiku Resigns From PDP

Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party effective from July 14, 2025.

Atiku, in a letter to his ward chairman in Adamawa said he left the PDP because of irreconcilable differences.

It would be recalled that this is the third time the former vice president will be resigning from the PDP. He left in 2006 to join the Action Congress of Nigeria where he was the presidential candidate. In 2010, after the death of President Umaru Yar’Adua, Atiku returned to the PDP. In 2013, he left to join the APC and returned to the PDP in 2017. He was the presidential candidate of the PDP in 2019 and 2023 presidential election.
