2027 General Elections : INEC Commences Voters Registration Across Kebbi State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Kebbi has announced dates for the commencement of voters registration across the State, just as it warned not to condone multiple voter registration as well as under age registration.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner for the State, Abubakar Dambo Sarkin Pawa Who disclosed this at a press conference with Journalists said, the online registration portal will open on the 18th, August, 2025 while in person registration will commence on August, the 25th, 2025, in all working days.
Potential voter registrants according to him are free to begin online registration while others can begin theirs in person on August, the 25th,2025.
Dambo Sarkin Pawa, added that those who turned eighteen are now eligible and therefore urged them to use the period to register to obtain permanent voter cards (PVC), warning that under age and multiple registration is a severe criminal offence and will not be taken lightly.
He explained that Kebbi state has registered over two million voters in 2023 and over eighty percent of voters cards have been collected leaving behind few uncollected cards.
“The new registration affects those with mutilated PVCs, those who relocated to new area of residences”, he said.
